Editor's note:

What is it like to travel to Kanas in winter? Many tourists say that the snowy scenery is comparable to northern Europe, albeit right here in our own backyard. The breathtaking beauty of its softly floating snowflakes and rime-covered trees, flanked by snow-capped mountains in the distance and the mist-shrouded Kanas Lake conjures a landscape seemingly plucked from a fairytale.
